How much does a session cost?

 

    From July 1st,2025: £50 for individual therapy

                                  £55 for supervision

                                  £75 for couple therapy

                                  £110 initial assessment for couple therapy

How long does a session last?

 

        50 minutes.

       For couples, the initial assessment lasts 75 minutes, thereafter is 50 mins

 

What if I have to cancel?

 

         No charges unless is less than 24 hours notice .Then the full fee is owed.

 

Do you do concessions?

 

         I have a small number of concessionary places.Feel free to ask for details.

 

 

How long does a therapy last?

 

    This emerges through time. Initially, I often suggest 6 sessions(weekly) followed by a review. We would then agree to proceed on an open ended basis till such time either of us feels a review is called for. With long term therapy, I recommend that once we decide to end the therapy we set aside time to process the ending as often loss and separations resurface in the process of ending long term therapy

     

         

     

 

I am on anti depressants - will that interfere with my therapy?

 

         Anti depressants are invaluable to take the edge off the worst of the feelings of depression and anxiety.In the course of your therapy we can discuss if they are making it difficult to get in touch with the feelings you want help in resolving.We can discuss the right course of action  in conjunction with your doctor.
