I started work in London in the mental health field in 1976 and worked for 8 years in therapeutic communities during which time I did my training in Gestalt Therapy.After a Social Work training and 5 years working as a social worker, I moved to Devon in 1990 with my family and started my practice as a psychotherapist.

Since then I have worked privately and for 21 years as an NHS psychotherapist working with individuals,couples and groups.In addition I helped to set up and run for 15 years a Gestalt therapy Training programme.

My interest in the relation between body and mind has taken me into the field of trauma and PTSD.I have done further training in the last 15 years in the field of trauma - with Babette Rothschild and an EMDR training.

I now see clients for short and long term therapy, run workshops, offer supervision and practicums/master classes to practitioners.
